Absolight is a rising alternative rock trio from Quebec, Canada, born from the spontaneous reunion of drummer Antony Jomphe and twin brothers Olivier and Carl Ricard, long–time friends and former bandmates. Originally called In Foes, the band evolved from an impromptu jam session into something much more. Carl’s driving basslines and Antony’s infectious drumming create a tight, dynamic rhythm section, while Olivier’s commanding vocals and versatile guitarwork round out the lineup of this powerful trio. 

Heavily influenced by the legacy of British rock, Absolight blends energetic alternative rock with complex sonic textures and unforgettable melodies. Their sound, which evolved through close collaboration with David Beaudry, a friend and associate member who plays a behind-the-scenes role as a co-composer and arranger, often transcends rock, blending elements of punk, pop, and even classical music. This eclectic style has led to frequent comparisons to renowned British rock bands like Muse. 

Absolight has taken the stage at numerous events, sharing the spotlight with established acts such as Papa Roach and Simple Plan. Their electrifying live performances have continued to captivate audiences and solidify their reputation in the alternative rock scene. The year 2025 marks a significant milestone for Absolight, as it is the first time the band has performed internationally with highlights including appearances in both the United States and Europe. This also coincides with the release of their debut studio album Frames, which features the four singles the band released over the past year, including You Are Right and their most recent track, Alien People.
